Yanina Rosario started her career with the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF) in 2001 as Business Development Manager. In 2006 she was appointed President of HBIF West Coast, Inc. At that moment she developed a team of business specialists that provide business assistance and develop the education programs for the organization. In 2008 HBIF reorganized to become a statewide organization and Yanina was named Vice President of the Tampa operation for HBIF of Florida. She has had direct influence in securing over $3.2 million dollars in small business loans.
Yanina is responsible in having attained several designations for HBIF.
v U. S. Small Business Administration’s Strategic Alliance Memorandum in 2008.
v SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business since 2006.
v ACCION USA’s official business technical assistance provider since 2005.
Yanina’s leadership is also demonstrated outside the workplace. At the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, she held the national board position of South-east Region Director, after years of chapter level leadership. She is a regular speaker with the Tampa chapter. She is part of the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and continued committee member for the Minority Enterprise Development Week Committee. She was part of the Emerging Business Committee for Super Bowl XLIII and provided guidance during the Hillsborough County Schools Office of Supplier Diversity focus groups in late 2007.
